The Beginning of the End

The beginning of eternal life is the end of our rights!
The right to enjoy possessions without reference to others,
The right to decide our own path, declare our own fate,
The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,
The right to have our needs met when and how we want,
The right to know all the reasons and answers.

We take only what is given,
Declare only what our Father reveals,
Live on gifts we cannot control.

The beginning of eternal life is the end of all insecurity!
Of grasping at wealth to stabilize the present and future,
Of agonizing over choices that appear to shape destiny,
Of finding despair in our own mortality, bondage, and sadness,
Of harboring disappointment at the failings of others,
Of searching for truth and meaning around every bend in the road.

We rest in Your provision,
Speak freely of your mercies,
Thrive in every circumstance.
