5 Haiku for the Rainstorm

Raindrops slyly run
From my forehead to my nose,
A playful greeting.

Damp hair and a smile;
Accessories worn with joy
Over a warm coat.

Pouring water roars,
Dampening all other sounds,
Beautiful silence.

The pine tree stands tall
In the face of wind and rain,
Dry ground underneath.

Raindrops form highways,
Merging their paths on the glass;
We sit in traffic.

  1. For some reason I couldn’t download your website. My system said to “clear the cookies”. So it might be on my end. Not sure.
